Privacy
Here’s what Textle collects while you play, and why.
Your game
Textle keeps an anonymous id in your browser so you can come back to today’s game and keep your streak. There’s no account, and it never asks for your name, email or phone number.
How people play
Anonymous gameplay events (which clues get bought, how many guesses a game takes, whether it’s solved, whether you arrived from a shared link, and what kind of site sent you, such as a search engine or an AI assistant) go to PostHog, to learn what’s fun and what’s confusing. They aren’t tied to who you are, and nothing records your screen or what you type. Turn on “Do Not Track” in your browser to switch them off.
Crashes
If something breaks, an error report (what went wrong in the code, and your browser type) goes to Sentry so it can be fixed.
Feedback
What you write in Send feedback is stored with the game it came from: puzzle number, coins and guesses. Contact details you add are used only to reply to you.
Never
Your data is never sold or used for ads. To ask a question or have something deleted, use Send feedback and include a way to reach you.
